| Pre-Trial Services Navigator
Program Description
The Pretrial Services Navigator (PSN) program is a partnership between Good Samaritan Shelter and Santa Barbara County Probation. The PSN program serves adult clients who are under Pre-Trial supervision from Probation with the goal of helping clients connect to any support services needed, attend all court appointments, and not recidivate as they reintegrate into the community. Most importantly, PSNs provide one-on-one support and create individualized case management to address any goals the client wants to accomplish.
In addition, PSN escorts clients to court and provides updates to the presiding Judges and Pretrial Supervision Officers and Public Defenders. PSN collaborates as part of the community support system, exploring various resources, providing referrals and resource direction, and supporting clients in accessing community support resources. Our program works closely county county-based providers that include Behavioral Wellness, Public Defenders Office, Sanctuary Centers, CADA, Catholic Charities, and Holistic Defense.
