| Recuperative Care

Program Description

Good Samaritan’s Recuperative Care Program (RCP) provides safe recuperative care to homeless adults in our community who are not sick enough to be hospitalized, but are too frail to recover from their illness or injury on the streets.

The RCP program coordinates 24-hour services including shelter, meals, showers, and basic activities of daily living; health-related transportation; case management; linkage to housing, social services, home health, mental health, drug/alcohol, and other supportive services; nursing education and support.

Clients must provide a urine screen to GSS staff at intake and periodically to promote abstinence and validate sobriety. Recovery Point accepts Santa Barbara County Medi-Cal and self-pay clients.

Program Qualifications

Clients who are medically fragile, experiencing homelessness, and have Cencal Health insurance.

All referrals for the Hope Village location must come through Dignity Health.
